INSIGHT: What an awesome reminder – God's word has authority! No darkness can reign when we move and speak in faith under his cloud of authority!! MARK 1:22

I'm struck by the last verse in Mark 1, where it says that Jesus had to remain in lonely places because news of him spread. Sometimes our faith, values and convictions can isolate us. But our Savior provides wonderful examples of what do to in those times: first and most importantly, pray; then keep pressing on in our Father's call with compassion and purpose.

How long they waited for the Messiah and how special they must have felt to be the ones that had been prophesied about. I wish I could have been there to experience it. I'm so thankful for God's word to be able to see back in time at how His wonderful plan is unfolding. It means so much more to me, now that I know what was prophesied from the Old Testament.
