Twitter Bible Study – Daily Wisdom Challenge – Day 60

Posted March 1, 2011

Hey Gang,

Can you believe it’s already March? That means warmer weather, the start of tourist season, and most importantly, March Madness. Now listen, I enjoy watching the games as much as anyone, but some people get really out of control with this stuff! They follow their team’s every move, down to the last detail – some of them even know what the players are eating for breakfast. For a few weeks, basketball becomes the defining part of their life. What if in 2011, God’s Word became the defining part of your life? That’s the goal of the Daily Wisdom Challenge: reading through the entire Bible in a year together. Here’s the deal:

  1. Choose a daily reading program. If you don’t have one, there’s a great selection HERE.
  2. Decide to read a portion of scripture everyday.
  3. Ask God for one piece of wisdom and insight from what you read.
  4. Post your insight in 140 characters or less in the comments section of this blog (include the scripture reference).
  5. Copy your insight and post it on your Twitter or Facebook account so others can benefit from what you are learning.

It’s really pretty simple, but here’s what happens – a lot of different people come together and share what God is teaching them. Lots of people means lots of perspectives. I don’t know about you, but it really helps me to see the Bible through someone else’s eyes. So join us – it’s ok if you’re late to the game, just get up off the bench! We need your perspective and I’m excited to read about what you’re learning.
