Twitter Bible Study – Daily Wisdom Challenge – Day 182

Posted July 1, 2011

Most of you probably already know that I love photography – I frequently post some pictures here on the blog. A few weeks ago in the weekend service, I showed a photo I took of all the grandkids. Somehow, I managed to capture a brief moment in time when they were all relatively still and looking in the same direction!

You know, summer is usually a time when things are supposed to slow down. It’s when we take our vacations, when the kids are out of school, and when it’s frankly just too hot to do much of anything! But sometimes, that’s not how things work out, and what was supposed to be a relaxing summer turns into a busy, chaotic few months. Just like trying to take a picture of my grandkids – it seems like the calm times are just brief moments in the middle of the storm. I hope that this summer you’ll find those calm times. I think the Twitter Bible Study can help you do that. Here’s how it works:

  1. Choose a daily reading program. If you don’t have one, there’s a great selection HERE.
  2. Decide to read a portion of scripture everyday.
  3. Ask God for one piece of wisdom and insight from what you read.
  4. Post your insight in 140 characters or less in the comments section of this blog (include the scripture reference).
  5. Copy your insight and post it on your Twitter or Facebook account so others can benefit from what you are learning.

So find a cool, shady spot and a glass of sweet tea, and spend some time in God’s Word.
