Took a sabbatical this summer...not sure I even know how to spell it much less do it...thought I'd fill you in on the highlights. In this post I'll just give the facts...in future posts we'll tell stories and share insights.
Started by going to Chennai, India...teaching Indian leaders...Pastor D. Mohan is one of the great leaders in the world (I learned more than I gave)...stopped for two days in Paris (what a trip...more later)...went shark fishing in Destin...watched the Braves and Cubs with the family in Atlanta July 4th...GOLFED ACROSS COLORADO WITH MY BOYS (now that's what I'm talking about!)...went to a campfire to end all campfires (more later)...hung out with my Honey in Tennessee...experienced God's amazing grace in NYC...dragged Debbie to more churches than anyone should have to attend this side of heaven...ate a little Amish food...finally broke 40 in Leesburg VA.
What did I learn? Alot really...I'll be sharing some of it in a series of messages later this month...till then here's a quicky:
- It doesn't depend on me...(so why do I act like it does?)
Thanks Geoff, Sherrie, Mac & Shawn for teaching us some great stuff this summer...Sam, Byron, Glenn, Joan and all the CP's for keeping it between the ditches...I want some of whatever Martin's got!

I also want whatever Martin has!!!

Sabbaticle... not a frozen treat for preacher's kids... good thing I don't write jokes for pastors. Good to see you at Promise Keepers, supposing that was while still on sabbatical. Looking forward to 40 Days, though I thought it was spelled quickie, but I like a potatoe too.
