I LOVE the Reflect series! I am truly impressed with the Reflect study guide. Most of the time, the weekly sermon, our small group discussion, and my Bible reading are totally unrelated. This integrated study guide has helped me to study the Bible more carefully, and to arrive at a deeper understanding and insight. I think it's very benficial to spend a whole week (or more) thinking deeply about the same topic.

I am really trying to understand the Sabbath, and what that should look like in my life. Thanks for making each of us seek God and find out for ourselves.

There is one thing that I do not understand in the section on Week One. In Luke 6:3-4, Jesus describes entering the house of God, taking consecrated bread, eating it, and giving it to his companions to eat, as well. This is not consistent with the event in 1 Samuel 21:1-6. In that passage, David is alone and on the run from Saul, but he lies to the priest. The priest gives him consecrated bread, but it says nothing about David sharing it with his companions.

I looked up David & bread on Biblegateway.com. I could not find any other references that would fit the situation Jesus describes. Could he be referring to some other writing that is not contained in our Bible?

Greg,

Hello from Franklin,TN. I missed the outdoor concert sponsored by local radio station Way-FM, which featured Chris Sligh, along with Sanctus Real. Anyway, we have the same last name. i've seen you guys listed on searches, as I have a son named Chris Surratt. There is also a dentist here in Franklin named Greg Surratt. My other son, Jonathan, went to Sri Lanka after the Tsunami, along with some others from New River Fellowship, here in Franklin. Okay, enough rambling. I just wanted to say hello to a fellow bro. in Christ, and a fellow Surratt. My grandfather and great grandfather Surratt were from southwest Va. I don't know too much of the history, but there was a Patrick and a Uriah Surratt in the 1800's. My great grandfather, James Monroe Surratt, was in Hillsville, Va., and was born around 1863.

Hey Tom,

Good to hear that there are other Christ following Surratts out there. Our branch is from Texas, but as I understand it, we're all related way back.

Hi from Louisville KY. Greg, just wanted you to know how much I enjoy listening to your podcasts every week. As you know, my husband and I moved from Charleston SC a few years ago. Although we attend a wonderful church (Southeast Christian) I still miss Seacoast. I consider it a blessing to listen to your messages. Can't wait till the holidays when we can come back and visit. Take care, Jill Lemonis

Dear Pastor Greg,
wasnt sure were to comment at on this site, but I wanted to tell u how great first Wed was for me and meeting you was like meeting a celeb. :) Seriously I feel so much love at Seacoast and it is so nice to meet new friends whom are Christians. I met a great guy at church that is going to introduce me to several new people and I am thrilled about that. I just recently moved to Mt P. I joined Seacoast at Summerville campus and loved it there, however the main campus was even better for me! My life is getting happier and happier and so glad God is a part of it! Cant wait till Sunday's service.

Ps keep praying for my back injury(from the move). It is better today. The move was worth the injury. I am loving Mt P. area.
