One Prayer
I'm happy to announce that Seacoast will be participating in the "One Prayer" series this June. Craig Groeschel from LifeChurch called and asked if we would be involved and if I would contribute a message. The premise is to gather hundreds of churches (over 700 so far) from all over the world to do a series at the same time based on the statement - "If I could ask God to answer one prayer it would be..." You can find out more about the series here. There is an interview with me on the Swerve blog about why I think the series is important and a little bit about what I'm going to be teaching on.

Pastor Greg,
I am soo pumped about Seacoast... Thanks for everything you do. I read about the "One Prayer" series and definitely think it is something that is going to be awesome. I also read about the idea of Church competition and pray that this series will help break down those walls we ourselves create. I mean...If Jesus chose different Apostles and each of them were different, and each Church has a different Pastor but the core belief Always remains the same then we should be ok with that. Truth is Jesus paid in full for all of us. I think we can all have subtle differences in worship and praise, and each Pastor has his or her way of getting the message across, thats the beauty of it. We can find our comfort zones and worship where we feel confortable. Bringing the same message to all the different Churches will unite us all, and let us know it's ok to be us... It's ok to be a little different. Besides, the world sure would be a boring place if we were all the same.
Thanks Again,
Mark Moschella

Will one prayer also be a small group study?

Hi Pastor Greg,
I just wanted to write to you and let you know that Seacoast is great. I was born and raised a Roman Catholic, even went to Catholic school. My husband and I have 3 children who were all baptized into the Catholic religion. We moved down here from Plattsburgh, New York last August and frequented many Catholic churches trying to find the perfect fit for our family, that never happened, we never felt welcomed at any of the ones we tried out and my children never seemed to walk away from mass having learned anything. It wasn't until one night I had a dream, where my family and I were walking downtown to our Catholic mass, when a nice man stopped me and asked where we were going, I told him," to our church," and this kind man asked "where," so I told him, and the man responded, "you should come to my church", I asked him where it was, and he responded, "Seacoast". I woke up that Sunday morning from my dream emotional, and told my husband what I dreamt about and told him I could not ignore the dream and that we should go to Seacoast that day, he agreed.
Our first visit, Pastor Greg spoke about how we need to just say No sometimes and to shut off our cell phones etc.. enjoy what we are blessed with and that too many times we get caught up in our careers and making everyone else happy. It really made sense with both my husband and I , but it wasn't until we got home, when we received a call from New York that one of our close friends who was only 46yreas old had died of a heart attack, he was a man that was overworked due to never saying No. After that Sunday, my husband and I realized that we had been called to your church for a reason and we now are true Seacoasters and our family always feels welcomed . I thought you may enjoy hearing this. Keep up the good work and word!!!!

Amy,
We will not publish a book for small groups but there will be discussion questions on our website.
